JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Support who has a great technical background with experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, providing desktop and software support and assisting the IT Team with projects.

Working as the IT Support Technician you will be office based in Brighton, where you will support Users with a wide range of technical support issues.

As the IT Support Technician you will need a strong IT background with good working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Microsoft Windows 10 / 11, Office 365, Exchange On-Premise and Exchange Online, Active Directory etc.

DUTIES

Your duties as an IT Support Technician include:

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Providing desktop and software support
  • Fault finding
  • Reporting faults and maintaining logs on servers, desktops and laptops
  • Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements
  • Providing support for bespoke software
  • Performing IT administrative support duties, as and when required to meet specific operational objectives
  • Aiding and support to colleagues in IT-related matters
  • Ensuring that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external users
  • Working on the provision and monitoring of servers and other systems
  • Assisting the IT team with projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Keeping documentation
  • When required to support the operational needs of the business which may require occasional evenings and weekends, this would be done on a rota basis between the team.
  • Keeping abreast of professional knowledge by participating in training, maintaining personal networks and studying developments within the industry
  • Escalating issues to management as appropriate

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong IT skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Must be fluent in English both verbally and written
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with enterprise level networks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good prioritising skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Customer focus, with a proactive and results-driven approach
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with Windows both client and server platforms
  • MS Office troubleshooting
  • Hardware trouble shooting
  • Proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly in a changing environment

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

  • MCP or MCSE certification highly desirable
  • Windows 10/11
  • Office 365
  • Exchange On-Premise / Exchange Online

Additionally, experience of as many of the following as possible:

  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Patch management
  • Windows Server 2019
  • VDI
  • Antivirus Solutions
  • Atlassian products
  • Ticketing Systems
  • Hardware installation and maintenance

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Russian both written and verbal
  • Experience working with enterprise level networks
