The Position: Insurance Team Leader - New Business

About the role

Leading the New Business Team of 8 underwriters. This role offers the chance to develop and motivate a dynamic team, while enhancing processes and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of underwriters, set clear objectives, and drive team performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior management and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure regulatory adherence and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of Insurance experience 2 years Team Leadership experience
  • Dip CII qualified or working towards it.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • They are looking for Leadership gained within Insurance, Financial Services or Banking.
  • The person will be able to demonstrate their leadership skills, and how they have managed a team to perform better, achieve targets and implemented new ways of working to get the best out of the team.
  • It’s all about the person, and the ability to gel with the team they will be leading, whilst maintaining compliance, achieve positive results.
