Our client is a leading global business with offices on multiple continents and a large presence in Brighton. In this newly created role, you will support their Commercial Legal Manager and provide advice relating to the reviewing of commercial contracts that underpin the entire business.

This in-house position may be the ideal opportunity for you to showcase your skillset within a small team whose responsibilities support the running of a global company, all whilst benefiting from a flexible working model from an award-winning employer.

This small legal team is a key part of their larger business structure and are currently undertaking the project of digitising their processes. As such, you will play an important role in supporting the development of this team and its function for years to come.

This role will include:

Contract Advisory: reviewing commercial contracts, preparing amendments, and engaging with external counsel when required. These contracts vary widely, from non-disclosure agreements to software licences to agreements concerning office facilities and payroll providers.

Data entry and process analysis: ensuring that all records of contracts drafted, reviewed, and signed are kept up to date, and helping the team maintain and develop their processes.

Wider business engagement: arranging quarterly meetings to catch up with relevant individuals, including third parties such as local counsel.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A strong drive to maintain and implement organisational procedures
  • Good commercial acumen and communication skills
  • Solid contract reviewing experience
