Admin Assistant / HR Assistant - Part-time 10am - 2pm (16 hours per week)

An award-winning small to medium sized design and manufacturing business in Brighton, East Sussex are looking to grow. Having been formed almost 30 years ago to support the continuing growth of the business we are looking to recruit an Administration Assistant / HR Assistant to join the team in Portslade on a part-time basis 4 days per week working 10am 2pm with a pay rate of up to £14 per hour.

As an Administrative Assistant / HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of our operations, ensuring a seamless experience for our staff, clients and visitors. From handling incoming calls and emails to processing purchase and sales orders, this role offers plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming calls and emails, providing excellent customer service.
  • Provide general administrative support to the management team, including answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring all arrangements are made in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate and document completion of all required mandatory training sessions.
  • Assist with the appraisal process and maintain precise records of all related discussions
  • Adhere to data protection and confidentiality guidelines when handling sensitive information.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, customer service experience, ideally within an office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and flexible, willing to take on new challenges and tasks as required.
