Job Title: Waste & Recycling Site ManagerLocation: Brighton areaSalary: CompetitiveJob Type: Temp to permHours: 07:00 - 17:00Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day running of the waste site, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.- Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.- Manage and lead a team, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.- Implement and maintain waste processing and recycling procedures.- Monitor site budgets, costs, and resources to maximise efficiency.- Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and stakeholders regarding site operations.- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of waste processing, safety incidents, and site performance.- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices.- Maintain site equipment, ensuring servicing and repairs are carried out promptly.- Manage customer relationships and ensure a high level of service.Skills & Experience Required:- Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or environmental services.- Strong leadership and people management skills.- Knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.- Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are desirable.This is a temp to perm role paying £40-45k depending on experience.Immediate start available for right candidate.
