Content Marketing Specialist

Role Overview

  • Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days remote
  • Salary: £40,000-£45,000 pa open to discuss depending on experience
  • Location: Brighton, a short walk from the station or discounted parking available
  • Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

Main Purpose of role

Provide copywriting, and optimise copy for SEO, content creation, distribution, and measurement, work with PR agency and journalists, working in close collaboration with the in-house Digital Creative Designer, Media Manager, and Digital Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Copywriting, Content Strategy & Content Development

  • Support the business in developing a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Create high impact copy and content including Whitepapers, Technical guides, Case studies, Blog articles, Product documentation, Data reports, Webinar content, Marketing communications, and Press Releases.
  • Collaborate with in-house subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy
  • Translate complex data for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Adhere to brand guidelines
  • Maintain and update content library
  • Implement best practices for content management and SEO
  • Track content performance using data-driven insights
  • Report on content ROI and key performance indicators
  • Support thought leadership initiatives
  • Work with PR agencies and journalists - react quickly to industry news driving content projects
  • Align content with product developments and industry trends

Required Qualifications & Experience

Professional Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in copywriting and content creation/marketing
  • Journalism or copywriting background
  • Fluent English verbal and writing skills - writing is one of your top skills!
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including design and marketing
  • Copywriting and content creation for a technical or legal industry
  • Strong SEO and digital marketing skills applied to copywriting and content marketing
  • Proficient with content management and analytics tools; HubSpot ad advantage but not essential.
  • Proficient with SEO, creative, and marketing tools
