Our client, based in Brighton, manages a block of flats for residents aged 65 and over. They are looking for a Block Concierge, on a part time basis, to assist with the day-to-day running of the property (no medical or caring responsibilities).

This is an ongoing temporary role, working 15 hours to suit flexibility (would suit school hours). Any additional hours will be paid as overtime, and you will be paid weekly. Excellent opportunity for someone seeking part time hours within a great, friendly team.

Responsibilities could include but not limited to:

  • Liaising with the RTM Directors and assigned manager.
  • To provide new purchasers with a copy of the block handbook and to confirm the services available to them, including Care Alarm system, Codes for the building, Refuse area, Car Park arrangements and Fire Alarm/Testing details.
  • To keep and update Residents personal details regularly by collecting and inputting details from the personal Details Form.
  • To Report any faults or repairs which are noticed, in and outside of the building, to the appropriate Director or manager.
  • To be available and monitor contractors when on site.
  • To post notices, for residents' information, including the regard to Health & Safety, Fire Regulations and Emergency Procedures.
  • The ordering and buying of stationary and domestic items.
  • The collating and updating of relevant and essential information for the running and upkeep of CC.
  • To keep accounts for specified income and expenditures.
  • Record online a daily log of the House Assistants daily tasks and events.
  • Weekly testing of fire alarm testing. Record and Monthly testing of Emergency Lights.

  • Aware of the ageing process and the changing demographics of the building
