Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll & Pensions Administrator to join their team on a part time basis for 20-24 hours per week

Duties include;

  • End to end payroll processing and administration.
  • Following payroll procedures and completing related forms and returns.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records on the payroll system.
  • Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries.
  • Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime, shift allowances etc.
  • Undertaking required reporting, both internal and statutory.
  • Calculation and processing of statutory payments including SMP and SSP.
  • Calculation of additional occupational maternity pay.
  • Calculation and payment of termination payments.
  • Processing increases and calculation of back pay.
  • Completion of month end processes.
  • Reconciliation to budgets and payment of payroll.
  • Completing year-end processes.

You will have;

  • Understanding of payroll and other relevant legislation and processes i.e. tax, national insurance.
  • Strong numerical ability and data entry skills.
  • Ability to interpret awards and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and maintain a heavy workload.
  • Strong payroll start to finish processing experience
