Location: Hybrid of working remotely and at University of Sussex (Pevensey Building)Ā 

This is an exciting opportunity to gain research experience in a cognitive neuroscience research group. We are seeking to hire a Research Technician to score memories of video clips. This is part of the ā€œEVENTSā€ research project which aims to understand how humans remember everyday situations.Ā 

Role Description: The Research Technician will learn how to use a custom-developed protocol for scoring peopleā€™s memories for short videos. The videos were watched while the research participants were scanned using functional MRI. We will relate differences in peopleā€™s memory to differences in patterns of brain activity.Ā  The data has been collected for the ā€œEVENTSā€ research project.Full training will be given on the job. Ideal for someone looking for a temporary role of a 2 hours / a day for approx. 2-3 months. You will need excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail. We estimate the job will take 100 hours in total.Ā Ā Ā
