We are excited to offer an opportunity to gain valuable research experience within a cognitive neuroscience research group. We are currently seeking a Research Technician to join our ā€œEVENTSā€ research project, which explores how humans remember everyday situations. This role involves scoring memories of video clips, a crucial part of our study relating memory to brain activity patterns.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Learn and apply a custom-developed protocol to score peopleā€™s memories of short video clips.
  • Work with data collected from research participants who were observed under functional MRI to understand variations in brain activity.
  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail in handling and analysing sensitive research data.
  • Collaborate with the research team to discuss findings and techniques, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to commit to the project duration of approximately 2-3 months, 2 hours per day.
  • No prior experience in neuroscience or research is required as full training will be provided.
