Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Paralegal to join a successful multi-office Legal 500 law firm based on the Sussex Coast. This is a permanent, full-time role. Hybrid working can be offered and the benefits are extensive and include a 10% bonus scheme, medical insurance, free onsite parking, £2000 employee referral scheme and discounted legal services.

Role Responsibilities

The incoming Private Client Paralegal will be providing support to the Partners and solicitors by assisting with the drafting of wills, LPAs, management of probate matters and assisting with all areas for client affairs.

You will be expected to be able to do the following:

  • Drafting wills and to incorporate Life Interest Trusts and Discretionary Trusts of Reside
  • Drafting Nil rate-based trusts
  • Drafting of wills for business clients
  • Drafting LPAs
  • Registration of EPAs/LPAs

Person Specification

The incoming Private Client Paralegal will have a MINIMUM of one years’ experience working directly within a Private Client team and be able to draft Wills, Trusts and LPAs. In addition, you will have excellent generic private client knowledge. You will also need to have a good understanding of probate. Importantly, the successful candidate will also be able to display:

  • Good interpersonal skills in order to be able to speak to clients both on the phone but also in person and the levels of ability to deal with written correspondence.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise your workload within the required timescales
  • Attention to detail
  • Client Care and empathy
