I am looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team, with a consultancy background and strong commercial skills to help deliver on a variety of exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities:As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the financial management and cost control of a range of fit-out projects. Your key duties will include:
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Managing and controlling project budgets, ensuring value for money and quality
- Conducting cost analysis, risk assessments, and managing procurement strategies
- Leading the preparation of valuations, variation orders, and final accounts
- Managing project costs from inception to completion, reporting on financial performance
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
- Negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to deliver the best outcomes
- Advising on procurement strategies and contract selection
- Overseeing subcontractor relationships and ensuring compliance with agreed terms
About You:
- Consultancy experience in the construction or fit-out industry is desired
- Relevant degree or qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the retail, hospitality, leisure, or healthcare sectors
- Strong understanding of contract management and cost control principles
- Proven experience in managing high-value projects
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills
- Familiarity with construction contracts such as JCT or NEC
