Head of Property Management (Maternity FTC)

Salary: £42k + great company benefit package

Location: Brighton

Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 17.30pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 10am - 4pm (with a day in lieu)

Must have a driving licence to apply!

Are you an experienced Property Manager that has managed a team and looking to work for a busy, well-established organisation that offers a friendly and proactive working environment? If so, I want to hear from you, as I have a great opportunity to join a well-established property organisation initially on a maternity fixed term contract to manage a team of 8 staff based in their modern offices in Brighton.

You will have a great understanding of property management, lettings and industry legislation, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and leading a well-established team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing departmental processes and setting clear objectives to ensure service levels are met.
  • Overseeing the effective management of all the end of tenancy objectives
  • Managing workflow and ensuring the property managers are consistent and though in their management of their property portfolio.
  • Facilitating all necessary pre tenancy contractor works.
  • Diary management.
  • Dealing with complaints effectively that are escalated to management level, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Managing relationships with 3rd party service providers.
  • Account managing a small portfolio of landlords and attend client meetings.
  • Ensure all compliance is adhered and managing your team’s productivity and efficiency through set KPI’s.
  • Onboarding, recruiting any new staff members as required.

The right candidate will have the following skills and experience to apply.

  • Great communication and organisation skills with a natural ability to motivate a team.
  • Proven property management background - ideally up to Senior level.
  • Experience of managing a team, being proactive, approachable and supportive in approach.
  • Excellent knowledge of lettings, property management with up-to-date industry legislation.
  • UK driving license.
  • Natural problem solver with the ability and confidence to manage a team of eight staff.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships.
