Junior Edition is looking for a store manager who can lead, inspire and motivate our Brighton store team.
About Us
Junior Edition is a family run children's concept store established in 2015. Over the past 9 years we have expanded significantly to become one of the UK's largest independent online retailers of ethically manufactured, design-led children's clothing, toys and home wares. In addition to our online store we also have a thriving bricks and mortar store in the North Laine of Brighton.
Retail Managers Role
- Managing and working on the shop floor with a small sales floor team
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere and an outstanding customer experience
- Identifying and maximising sales opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets
- Motivating, developing and stretching a small sales team to reach their full potential
- Following and maintaining company policies and procedures
- Recruiting and training staff
- Setting staff targets, motivating them and reviewing their progress
- Conducting performance reviews and appraisals
- Maintaining detailed and accurate sales and profit data
- Managing stock levels, accurately receiving goods and creating transfers
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation including health and safety standards
- Devising and implementing promotional campaigns and new initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 3 years experience in retail or hospitality management
- A minimum 3 years experience in a high end, boutique or childrens store
- An ability to display a genuine passion for high end childrens retail and customer service
- Self-motivated with good leadership and people skills
- Confident communicator with good organisational skills
- Attention to detail in everything you do
- Professional experience with online retail, distribution and social media
