Junior Edition is looking for a store manager who can lead, inspire and motivate our Brighton store team.

About Us

Junior Edition is a family run children's concept store established in 2015. Over the past 9 years we have expanded significantly to become one of the UK's largest independent online retailers of ethically manufactured, design-led children's clothing, toys and home wares. In addition to our online store we also have a thriving bricks and mortar store in the North Laine of Brighton.

Retail Managers Role

  • Managing and working on the shop floor with a small sales floor team
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere and an outstanding customer experience
  • Identifying and maximising sales opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Motivating, developing and stretching a small sales team to reach their full potential
  • Following and maintaining company policies and procedures
  • Recruiting and training staff
  • Setting staff targets, motivating them and reviewing their progress
  • Conducting performance reviews and appraisals
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate sales and profit data
  • Managing stock levels, accurately receiving goods and creating transfers
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation including health and safety standards
  • Devising and implementing promotional campaigns and new initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 3 years experience in retail or hospitality management
  • A minimum 3 years experience in a high end, boutique or childrens store
  • An ability to display a genuine passion for high end childrens retail and customer service
  • Self-motivated with good leadership and people skills
  • Confident communicator with good organisational skills
  • Attention to detail in everything you do
  • Professional experience with online retail, distribution and social media
