Support a Student's Journey at Our Primary School in Brighton!
We are currently looking for a compassionate and motivated Individual Needs Assistant to work 1:1 with a student who requires additional support at our well-regarded primary school in Brighton. If you're passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and enjoy being part of a supportive team, this role is perfect for you!
About the Role:As an Individual Needs Assistant, you'll provide direct support to a student with additional needs, ensuring they stay engaged with their learning and develop key skills. You'll work closely with the student to help them build resilience, stay focused, and use coping strategies to overcome challenges. You'll also collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to provide a safe and encouraging learning environment for the student.
Your work will play a significant part in helping the student grow socially, emotionally, and academically, using individualised strategies within a nurturing school atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities of an Individual Needs Assistant:
- Offer one-to-one support to help the student stay on track with their studies.
- Assist with the development of social and emotional skills, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.
- Collaborate with the teaching team, parents, and external professionals to support the student's needs.
- Promote the student's focus, resilience, and ability to cope with challenges.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the student by following safeguarding procedures.
