Join our expanding team, we are seeking up to three dedicated Teachers with a passion for special education. This role is ideal for professionals who are committed to providing a vibrant and relevant education, enabling students to achieve their highest possible standards in a trauma-informed, attachment-aware setting.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, deliver, and assess lessons tailored to individual student needs, focusing particularly on literacy and numeracy, to maximise student achievement.
  • Implement and maintain school policies and schemes of work, ensuring all subjects are covered with an emphasis on core skills.
  • Oversee the welfare of pupils in your designated class, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, the local community, and the school management committee.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, the Head of School, and other professionals to support student learning and address their social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Integrate ICT, Literacy, Numeracy, Citizenship, Careers, PSHE, and SMSC into teaching and learning experiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in a relevant subject area (e.g., English, Maths, Science, or Humanities) is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching in a special school or with upper KS2 or Key Stage 3 students.
  • Experience with SEMH or other behavioural/mental health needs and proven ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum and ability to adapt it for students with SEMH.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEMH, SEN, or behaviour management.
