About the Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sports Coach to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at our Specialist Schools in Brighton. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering tailored physical activity sessions that support the individual needs and abilities of our students, encouraging them to develop confidence, teamwork, and motor skills in a safe and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and adapted sports sessions for SEN students, ensuring activities are accessible and enjoyable for all abilities.
- Supporting the development of students' physical, social, and emotional skills through sport.
- Creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere where students feel motivated and encouraged.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to develop personalised programmes that meet the specific needs of each student.
- Monitoring progress and providing regular feedback on students' development in physical activity.
- Maintaining a safe and organised environment during sessions, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Encouraging active participation, fostering teamwork, and building students' confidence.

Experience, Training and Qualifications
- GCSE's or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year working with children
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
Eligibility
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
