Lecturer in Beauty Therapy and Makeup (Maternity Cover)
£26,451 - £41,247 per annum
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Fixed term Maternity cover.Â
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified teacher to join our vibrant and professional Hair and Beauty team at Brighton MET as a level 1 lecturer in Hair and Beauty. Located in the heart of the city of Brighton, our Metro salon offers our students an exceptional opportunity to learn, develop skills and thrive in a commercial salon setting.
Job Overview:
•   To undertake teaching and assessing activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners’ needs.•   To work collaboratively and innovatively with managers and colleagues to design, develop, manage and review programmes in the curriculum area.•   To ensure that student needs are met in a responsive way, in line with the concept of inclusive learning.
Selected essential/preferred criteria requirements:
•   Level 2/3 qualification in Beauty Therapy essential•   Level 2/3 qualification in Hairdressing essential •   Relevant Industry experience•   Level 2 literacy and numeracy •   IT proficient and confident with Microsoft Office•   Committed to student support•   Teaching qualification essential •   Assessors qualification essential •   Internal Quality Assurance qualification preferredÂ
The working pattern for this role will be Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm.Â
