Technical Draftsperson | Brighton | Full Time | £30,000-£40,000 depending on experience

Are you a skilled draftsperson looking to bring your talent to an innovative, creative company? Our client is a leading 'design and make' company, specialising in art installations, 3D structures, and architectural features, and they’re searching for an experienced draftsperson to join their dynamic team.

In this role, you will be a key player in transforming design concepts into reality, preparing 2D and 3D technical drawings for production. You’ll work closely with directors, project managers, and the production team to ensure every detail is captured for smooth manufacturing.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Formal qualification in Architecture, 3D/Product Design, or a related discipline. This could be a degree in 3D Design or a vocational qualification such as an NVQ or City and Guilds (Level 4 or higher)
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar drafting role is essential

What will your role look like?

  • Proficiency in producing workshop/manufacturing drawings, particularly for timber and metalwork production using AutoCAD, Rhino, and/or SolidWorks.
  • Experience reading and scrutinising both architectural and workshop production drawings.
  • Generating sketches relevant to the development of designs and tenders.
  • Working up materials/component specifications.
  • Assistance with estimating of project costs in close liaison with project directors.
  • A collaborative spirit, working closely with various teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
