We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager to join our local establishment. The successful candidate will be well versed in customer service, responsible for managing supervisors and bartenders, and have a strong understanding of the bar industry. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with both patrons and staff to ensure that our bar is running smoothly.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the bar is stocked with supplies for the shift.
  • To maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness in the cellar and bar to include pipes, bar area, glasses, shelves and glass washing area.
  • To liaise with the Venue Manager to ensure the bar is open when required for both members and outside functions.
  • To assist the Committee in arranging social evenings at the club to ensure the bar is adequately staffed to meet the needs of the function.
  • Solve problems that arise during the shift.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a clean bar.

Experience is required however full training will be given. The Bar Manager will also be supported by Senior Management and the Main Committee.

  • Managing the guest experience throughout their visit.
  • Ensuring high standards are being maintained across all areas.
  • Taking responsibility for stock management and ordering.
  • A hands-on role overseeing and developing a team.
  • Gain feedback to improve all aspects of the business.

What we need from you:

  • The role would suit an experienced bar manager looking for the next step in their career.
  • Previous experience in high volume bars essential.
  • Calm under pressure with a track record of training and developing staff.
  • Well presented, enthusiastic and passionate.
  • Due to location own transport is essential.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.

  • Salary of up to £34,000.
  • 28 days annual leave.
