We are currently working with a Local Authority in the South West who are looking to recruit an Accountant to help ensure that the Council continues to manage its resources effectively and efficiently.
Job: Accountant – Children’s, Adults and Health focus
Duration: 3 months initial sign off
Rate: £300-£450 per day via Umbrella Company, Inside IR35
Site presence: First 2 weeks require site presence, after that once per month
Responsibilities
- You will play an important role in supporting the Department for Children, Adults and Health and Resource and Business Change
- You will manage a small team of finance staff supporting the delivery of a range of quality and cost effective financial management and financial support services
- You will support the Finance BP in the preparation of revenue and capital budgets and the preparation of budget monitoring information
- Provide financial advice and support to budget holders, including, advice on capital and revenue resources to support the preparation of bids for funding from external bodies; and to other customers within the council
Requirement
- Must have experience working within a Local Authority
- A qualified accountant (e.g. CIPFA, ACCA etc), with significant knowledge, skills and experience of working in a finance team
- Ideally you would need Knowledge of Dynamics D365 & CIVICA Financials
