About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Asset Manager - Solar to oversee the management of multiple solar assets and special purpose vehicles (SPVs). The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental performance while maximising the returns and value of each project. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional asset management across a diverse portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract and Compliance Management: Ensure all assets comply with statutory health, safety, and environmental requirements, local planning authority conditions, grid connection agreements, and power purchase agreements.
- Performance Optimisation: Monitor contractor performance, review maintenance strategies, and establish KPIs to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with contractors, landlords, and advisors to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular asset management reports, conduct performance analysis, and oversee key deadlines for contracts, warranties, and maintenance agreements.
- Site Visits: Conduct site assessments to evaluate the status and condition of solar farms, with occasional travel across the UK and Europe.
- Budget and Strategy Management: Oversee OPEX and CAPEX budgets, manage spare parts strategies, and lead site-specific projects and major works.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- A degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in solar farm asset management.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.
- Advanced Excel skills (knowledge of macros, Visual Basic, Python, or SQL is a plus).
- Experience with remote monitoring systems for solar.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Contract and budget management experience.
- Health and safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely, HV awareness, WTSRs).
- Experience in wind, battery storage, O&M, construction, or consultancy.

Key Details
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9:00 am - 5:30 pm).
- Travel: Frequent UK travel and occasional European travel required. A full driving licence is essential.
