Role Overview

We're looking for a proactive and commercially focused Business Controller / Management Accountant to join our team. This role involves financial planning, reporting, and business partnering within a dynamic environment. You'll engage in both recurring and project-based activities, driving process improvements and ensuring financial integrity across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting – Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes across business units, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Business Partnering – Work closely with operational managers to assess and validate improvement projects, providing financial insights for decision-making.

Financial Reporting – Deliver accurate and timely reports to ensure visibility of financial performance and early identification of risks.

Performance & Risk Management – Challenge operational performance, support management in achieving targets, and drive improvement initiatives.

Investment & Cost Control – Evaluate business cases for operational investments and improvement projects, ensuring robust financial assessments.

Category Controlling – Oversee financial activities across Recurring Costs, Inventory, Non-Recurring Costs, and Capex Jigs/Tools (as required).

Required Skills & Experience

? Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred) – Minimum 2 years PQE in a manufacturing or commercial setting OR at least 5 years of experience in business partnering/management accounting.

? Financial Systems Expertise – Proficient in SAP or similar financial reporting tools.

? Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management – Confident in liaising with multiple stakeholders, including external clients and teams across different locations.

? Proactive & Autonomous – Able to take initiative, work independently, and manage complex financial responsibilities.

? Business Partnering Expertise – Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis within a commercial environment.

? Continuous Improvement Mindset – Passion for streamlining processes and driving financial efficiencies.
