This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to ensure the smooth running of our client’s finance in relation to transactional, tax, and reporting matters.Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
  • Oversee and manage all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • To manage finance staff engaged on transactional work and support those engaged on business partnering.
  • Ensure all tax-related matters, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory requirements, are accurately calculated, reported, and paid on time.
  • Run and manage the payrolls for several entities and provide instructions to accountants in Ireland and Norway to enable them to run payrolls. This involves collation of information in advance of payroll date and checking payrolls prior to finalisation.
  • Collaborate with other teams and offices to ensure accurate and efficient reporting.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process to ensure compliance and timely completion.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Manage the month-end process and ensure group timetable is met.
The successful Financial Accountant:
  • Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar financial accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
