Position: Financial Accountant
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) - 6 Months
Salary: £60,000
Location: Central Bristol - Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
Start: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the change from GAAP to IFRS requirements across multiple European entities
- Review and convert prior financial statements into IFRS-compliant statements backdating where needed
- Assist with interim audit processes for the project
- Work with new auditors to audit opening balances and address specific work streams
- Perform prior-year balance reconciliations and testing
- Assist with implementing a cashflow forecasting tool
- Participate in a professional services tender project slated for Q1 implementation
Qualifications & Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong experience with diverse accounting standards (GAAPs and FRS).
- Audit background (Big 4 or similar practice) is highly desirable, especially with open balance testing.
- Advanced technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
- Confidence in analysing complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills.
