Financial Accountant - £50,000 - £60,000 based in Bristol + hybrid working

Our client is a well-established and dynamic organisation. Due to their ongoing growth and success, they are now looking to recruit a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance team.

Role Overview:As the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the company's financial records and reporting. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, preparing reports, and assisting with year-end audits. You will work closely with senior management to provide valuable financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Key Duties:

  • Assist with the year-end stock take and audits to ensure proper financial reporting.
  • Assisting with year-end audit and liaising with auditors
  • Preparing financial statements
  • Provide timely and relevant financial reports to management.
  • Assist with foreign currency transactions and requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage cash flow effectively, ensuring optimal use of bank accounts.
  • Support the administration of cost updates and ensure they are accurately recorded.
  • Manage and report on Intrastat transactions, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
  • Process the quarterly VAT return, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Your profile:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly convey information and interact effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Technical: solid understanding and experience of producing financial statements and prior audit experience
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all financial data and reports are thoroughly reviewed and correct.
  • Accounting Knowledge: A solid understanding of accounting systems, principles, and practices, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Time Management: The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
