Job Title: Interim Financial Accountant / Finance Business PartnerLocation:Bristol (Hybrid/Remote)Duration:6 months (starting February 2025) Company:Hays Bristol Finance / Public SectorJob Description: Hays Bristol Finance Team is currently recruiting for an Interim Financial Accountant / Finance Business Partner to support a finance business partner team for one of our public sector clients in Bristol. This role is designed to cover a period of unexpected absence and support a busy year-end and audit process, as well as handle ad-hoc workload throughout the team. It would suit an experienced and well-rounded accountant who has worked within the public sector before and has supported similar processes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting preparation for year-end (March 2025) and addressing audit queries.
  • Creating a statement of accounts (April to June 2025).
  • Audit preparation work, including Excel spreadsheet tasks focusing on trial balance and supporting the audit prep for July 2025.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid/Remote working flexibility.
  • 1 day per week on-site in Bristol.
  • Remaining days can be worked from home.
  • Option to start as soon as February 2025
