- Prepare accurate financial statements, management accounts, and analysis for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee period-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide commentary on financial performance, analysing variances against budgets and responding to queries from operations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and maintenance of financial controls, ensuring the integrity of systems and reporting.
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register, oversee capital expenditure treatment, and support year-end capital allowances analysis for tax purposes.
- Oversee VAT processes, including quarterly returns, reconciliations, and guidance on VAT treatment across departments.
- Supervise and support junior finance team members, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Contribute to the year-end statutory audit process and maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, delivering efficiencies and enhanced reporting.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified by Experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management accounting role.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
