We're on the lookout for a Management Accountant to join their dynamic team.

What You'll Do:Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and manage monthly management accounts for all trading subsidiaries on a strict timetable.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and oversee Business Intelligence reports related to nursery performance.
  • Work closely with department heads on cost trackers, forecasts, and KPIs.
  • Review the purchase ledger and ensure correct cost allocations across subsidiaries.

Acquisitions & Developments:

  • Assist in the seamless integration of accounting systems for newly acquired nurseries.

General Support:

  • Support new IT system implementations and help refine financial processes.
  • Review policies, ensure new nurseries align with our financial framework, and complete government statistical returns.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Either a qualified accountant (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified By Experience (QBE).
  • Skills: Strong Excel skills, with a passion for system improvements and change. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience: Ideally, you'll have experience in a multi-site environment, and a solid background in financial reporting and business intelligence processes.
  • Communication: You'll be a confident communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders across the business.
  • Bonus (Not essential, but a big plus!):
    • Experience with SQL databases and Business Intelligence tools like PowerBI.
    • Change management experience, especially in a multi-site or care sector environment.
