Your new companyHays are working with a global business based in Central Bristol to recruit a Management Accountant on a fixed-term contract, ideally to start in late April / early May. Your new roleReporting to the Financial Controller, this broad role will cover both statutory accounting and management accounting, supporting the business and reporting into group. This will include:
- Completion of month-end procedures, following guidelines from the group.
- Supporting the team in the preparation of journals, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and fixed assets.
- Ownership of several UK entities, monthly accounting and financial control.
- Challenge existing processes and identify improvements.
- Business partner with internal stakeholders as well as other parts of the finance team, including commercial finance and FP&A.
- Support during statutory audit and year-end procedures.
- Support in the delivery of projects.
What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for a technically strong accountant, with an understanding of financial and accounting transactions within the global, multi-entity group. You should have experience of preparing statutory accounts for companies house and HMRC. On a personal level, you should have good attention to detail, good communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
