We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our team in Bristol

You will oversee the delivery of personal tax compliance and advisory work for a portfolio of owner-managed business owners, high net worth individuals, trust, overseas issues and all other issues arising in our client base.

What you'll be doing day to day as aTax Manager

  • Managing the tax compliance processes for a portfolio of clients to ensure that tax returns are filed on a timely basis and clients are advised of tax payments
  • Reviewing personal tax returns and computations
  • Reviewing trust tax returns
  • Reviewing capital gains tax returns
  • Preparation of more complex personal tax computations and returns
  • Following established procedures for workflows and updating these when necessary
  • Dealing with tax enquiries
  • Conducting technical research
  • Liaising with Directors and Associates
  • Delegating work to tax team
  • Monitoring recoveries on your portfolio.

About you

  • ATT or equivalent experience
  • Working towards CTA (study support available)

As well as the above, ideally you will have experience of working with owner-managed businesses, managing tax compliance processes, as well as a broad and general tax knowledge of all aspects of direct taxes.
