Accounts Assistant TemporaryBristol£16.00phOffice Based3 month Temporary ContractMy client is looking for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to provide overall assistance to their finance team with a particular focus on their global accounts payable function, group bank reconcilations, cost reporting along with other accounting/bookkeeping activities.Specific responsibilities will include:" Control of Accounts Payable for Germany and America and cover for UK l edger." Entering purchase ledger invoices in multiple currencies (EUR, USD, GBP + more)." Ensure payments are matched to invoices and any old invoices / credits are followed up on a timely basis." Preparing payment runs for approval." Complete Supplier Statement reconciliations and follow up on any missing invoices / credit notes." Posting of Direct Debits to the ledgers." Archiving of documents and e-filing, supporting a paperless system" Resolving any external or internal queries related to accounts payable and other finance queries." Monitoring purchase price variances, and escalating them with FD & Op's" Preparation & posting of Accruals and Prepayments." Review and posting of staff expenses." Complete bank reconciliations in Sage for relevant bank accounts ensuring unmatched items are followed up and resolved with Management Accountants promptly." Provide assistance with payroll submission & reporting" Cover for Accounts Receivable, including bank reconciliations performed." Other Ad Hoc finance and admin, including assisting with audit and tax packs.Personal Specification" A Level in Maths and GCSE English or equivalent." Preferably AAT part / fully qualified" Experience of Excel and user of IT systems." Some experience of working in a Finance department & manufacturing business." Ideally experience or a desire to learn about dealing with multiple currencies and international business and developing wider accounting / finance knowledge." Confident to work independently, as well as being a team player in a growing business." Good communication skills and the ability to interact appropriately with suppliers, customers and colleagues." Self-motivated and willing to 'get stuck in'." Embraces change with a continuous improvements mindset.
