Marks Sattin are partnering with a reputable manufacturing organisation in Bristol to recruit a Group Assistant Accountant on a permanent contract. This role will be office based, so applicants must be within a commutable distance from Bristol. Paying between 40-45k.

This is to support the Group FC, supporting the Group Finance Analyst and Compliance Officer with Group reporting and oversight of key Finance requirements across the Group.

Key Responsibilities of the Group Assistant Accountant include:

  • Preparation of key daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the group.
  • Oversight of HMRC payments, across the group.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany balance as part of month end.
  • General oversight of the group bank accounts, making sure that the forecasts are aligned to budget.
  • Assist the Group Finance Controller and Compliance Officer with the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and budgets.

To be considered you must:

  • ACA | ACCA or CIMA Qual or actively studying.
  • Have a good understanding of financial controls and processes.
  • Have experience supporting the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset and approach.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience working within the manufacturing sector.
  • Be within a commutable distance to Bristol as this will be an office-based role (5 days on site)
