Are you a skilled communicator with a keen eye for detail? Are you experienced in extracting and analysing information from various sources? Our client, a leading organisation in the Central Government sector, is seeking an Analytical Support Officer to join their dynamic team.

As an Analytical Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's enhanced inspections of colleges and designated institutions. Your main responsibility will be writing pre-inspection briefings (PIBs) that provide comprehensive insights into the colleges and the areas they operate in. Your excellent written skills will be essential in ensuring that the briefings are cohesive and informative.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing college documents, such as self-assessment reports and accountability statements, to extract relevant information.
  • Gathering data on courses taught at each campus and analysing it to identify key trends.
  • Researching news items to uncover how colleges collaborate with employers, local authorities, and other education providers.
  • Examining council priorities, regeneration projects, and employment sectors to provide insightful information on each local authority.
  • Compiling all the gathered information into clear and concise pre-inspection briefings.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in written form, to convey complex information effectively.
  • The ability to gather information from diverse sources and synthesise it into a cohesive briefing.
  • Strong research skills to extract key points from extensive documents.
  • Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis, including filtering, creating charts, and utilising pivot tables.

This is a temporary position, offering a competitive daily rate ranging from £500 to £600. The contract will be for a duration of 3 months. Working in a hybrid style, you will have the flexibility to work both remotely and from our client's office.
