On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Project Management Officer on an initial 6-month contract. As the Project Management Officer, you will work within the R&T Wing and System Industrial architects' team, and this role is targeted to support 2 key projects delivering Propulsion attachment concepts and a digital transformation research project. If you have experience of working within an agile digital environment or novel research programmes this could be a good opportunity.

Role: Project Management Officer
Pay: 36 per hour Via Umbrella
Location: Filton
Contract: Monday - Friday 35 hours per week,6 months, 60% onsite
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

  • Project management, project integration and general progress reviews and updates
  • Linked to the above aligning progress to finance so the two are aligned for reporting
  • Work preparation and enablement with external suppliers - progressing quality reports and ensuring timely delivery along with preparing Statement of work for new work activities
  • Interfaces with Internal Airbus and external suppliers to ensure progress of tasks to TCQ


Essential Skills:

  • Ideally come from an aerospace background - if not, then other sectors dealing with complex products and requirements
  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to negotiate
  • Use of any planning tools - ideally in an agile environment
  • Ability to investigate and problem solve
  • Tracking of risks and implementing mitigation tactics
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders and communicate confidently effectively
  • Experience producing KPIs and metrics


Desirable Skills

  • A working knowledge of ZOHO would be advantageous
  • Experience within a research and development environment
  • Confident with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Financial tracking and monitoring in spreadsheet format
  • Experience from a technical background
