Dover Fueling Solutions are looking to recruit an experienced Field Technician – Site Services to join our team on a full time, permanent basis in and around Bristol.

For over 20 years, Fairbanks Environmental who are part of Dover Fueling Solutions, have been providing superior fuel management and forecourt services to the fuel market. Fairbanks services help to protect the environment by detecting fuel leaks and preventing contamination.

The fuel industry is entering a period of substantial change over the coming years with alternative fuels entering the marketplace, which will present growth opportunities for both the business and employees as we adapt to our existing and future client needs.

We have an excellent opportunity as a Field Technician responsible for:

  • Measure checking and calibration of fuel dispensers,
  • Conducting site surveys & risk assessments
  • Installing/maintaining pc-based data monitoring kiosk equipment on Petrol Retail Forecourts and other fuel dispensing locations.

We are looking for the successful Field Technician to:

  • Have a health and safety mindset
  • Show excellent attention to detail
  • Be a self-starter, motivated and once full trained able to work alone.
  • Be customer focused and able to demonstrate good communication skills
  • Hold a Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Be comfortable in using technology such as a tablet and smart phone.
  • Previous experience as a technical engineer ideally in the fuel industry is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

As part of the role, you will be traveling to different petrol forecourts each day. Whilst you will be based out of Bristol, you will be required to travel further afield to attend various sites. Due to the nature of the role some staying away is required. All accommodation and subsistence are provided.
