Job Title: Mass Properties Engineer -Aircraft Structures

Location: Bristol/hybrid (3 days per week on site)

Job Description Summary:

The scope includes Design and Development of airframe structural packages. To support the

delivery of above Suppliers will provide the necessary SQEP (Suitably Qualified Experience

Professionals resource(s) to support the finalisation of the design of work packages.

Job Description:

  • Provide component and detailed mass properties (weight, centre of gravity, inertia) and

contribute to the component optimisation process.

  • Define weight status, target weights (detailed parts and component level), route to target and

track weight risk & opportunities.

  • Calculate delivery component weight, and perform actual weight and balance measurement on

detail parts, assemblies and components.

  • Contribute in design reviews, weight maturity reviews and weight savings.
  • Collaborate with many technical disciplines to understand and to challenge the component

design in the quest for optimum weight.
