Mass Properties Engineer / Weight Engineer

Tiro Partners is seeking a Mass Properties Engineer or Weight Engineer with experience in airframe structure development to further bolster our clients expanding team. This position is a 12 month rolling contract (OUTSIDE IR35), and supports hybrid working; 3 days per week on site in Bristol. Candidates MUST be eligible for full UK unrestricted SC clearance.

Hourly rate of pay - 37.60

Job Spec:

• Provide component and detailed mass properties (weight, centre of gravity, inertia) and contribute to the component optimisation process.
• Define weight status, target weights (detailed parts and component level), route to target and track weight risk & opportunities.
• Calculate delivery component weight, and perform actual weight and balance measurement on detail parts, assemblies and components.
• Contribute in design reviews, weight maturity reviews and weight savings.
