Design Engineer - Medical Simulation Products | Bristol | Up to £40k
My client, a global leader in medical simulation technology, is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their innovative product development team in Bristol. With a £30M turnover and ambitious growth plans, this is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical training devices.
Location: Bristol City Centre (BS2), near Temple Meads Pattern: Office-based with 1 day WFH per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new medical simulation products from prototype to production
- Create and manage CAD files and documentation using Solidworks
- Produce high-quality working prototypes and manage their testing
- Work collaboratively with project leads and engineering teams
- Create detailed product specifications and assembly instructions
- Liaise with external suppliers and in-house tooling teams
- Contribute to product evaluation and modification processes
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new product development
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years' product development experience
- Strong Solidworks CAD proficiency
- Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or Design Engineering
- Proven track record in solving complex design challenges
- Creative approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication and visualization skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Experience working with manufacturing teams and suppliers
- Ability to work to deadlines and specifications
