We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and technically skilled individual who excels at working independently in the field.

The role will cover sites primarily in the West of England, including areas broadly defined by Gloucester and Bristol down to the South Coast (mostly Poole to Portsmouth), as well as Reading, Oxford, and occasionally into Wales. Candidates must live within this broad geographical location.

  • As an Installation and Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and service of radio paging and radio speech & data equipment at UK customer sites. You will provide expert installation, service, customer training, and advice with the companys products. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can work independently and professionally.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install and service radio paging and radio speech & data equipment at customer sites across the UK.
    • Provide expert, impeccable installation, service, customer training, and advice on the companys products.
    • Attend monthly training sessions on all products including paging, two-way radios, transmitters, aerials, GEN2 Cloud, and new products when introduced.
    • Voluntarily travel overseas on occasion to perform installations for European and US clients.
    • Provide second-line customer support when the Customer Service team needs to escalate issues.
    • Support the pre-sale sales team with site surveys.
    • Complete post-installation/commissioning documentation for CRM.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent understanding and hands-on capability in installing low voltage electrical systems.
    • Understanding of radio communication systems and IT networking.
    • Knowledge of Access Control, Nurse & Disabled Alarm Systems, and Wireless Paging Systems.
    • ECS/CSCS Card.
    • Genuine interest and curiosity about our products and how they work for clients.
    • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Excellent communication skills to build relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
    • Attention to detail with a focus on tidy cabling and aesthetics.

    Additional Information:

    • This role is field-based: you will be on the road most days, so you must be comfortable with driving several hours a day and keeping in touch with your team, colleagues, and manager by phone.
    • The ability to work on your own initiative in a professional manner is key to this role.
    • The role may include some early starts and late finishes according to the logistics schedule.
    • The role requires travel within the UK with the need to stay away from home approximately 2-4 nights per month.
    • Must have a full, clean UK Driving License and experience of driving a van in the UK.
