Role Overview
A highly skilled and motivated professional is sought to join the team on an interim basis to address immediate needs in production support, quality improvement, and knowledge transfer. The role focuses on resolving poor-quality issues, supporting production operations, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Expert knowledge in advanced problem-solving methods such as Lean 6 Sigma (Green or Black Belt), 8D, A3, QRQC, and Lead Auditing is essential to ensure compliance and drive sustainable improvements in both production and quality.
Key Responsibilities
-Knowledge Transfer & Documentation
-Develop and document critical processes and knowledge for continuity.
-Create detailed SOPs and training materials to ensure effective knowledge sharing across the team.
-Production Support
-Provide hands-on support to production teams to address high absenteeism and operational bottlenecks.
-Lead and participate in continuous improvement (CI) projects aimed at optimizing production efficiency and reducing waste.
-Quality Improvement
-Identify, analyse, and resolve poor-quality issues identified during Tool Quality Reviews (TQR).
-Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to drive long-term quality improvements.
-Ensure solutions are integrated into production processes to prevent recurrence of issues.
-Lead Auditing
-Plan, execute, and document internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality and production standards.
-Identify non-conformances, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
-Problem-Solving Expertise
-Apply advanced problem-solving methodologies (Lean 6S, 8D, A3, QRQC) to address critical issues.
-Provide training and mentoring to staff on these frameworks as needed.
-Collaboration and Communication
-Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance.
-Provide regular updates to the Head of Department on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in production, quality assurance, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Certifications: Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001:2015 or relevant standard.
Expertise: Proven expertise in Lean 6S, 8Ds, A3s, QRQC, and other continuous improvement tools.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a fast pace.
