Morson Projects have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their reputable multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, boasting over 40 years of experience. This position is ideal for a highly skilled and experienced engineer with a strong background in metallics and structural engineering, proficient in using Inventor and CATIA V5.

As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing innovative and functional products and systems that meet customer specifications, balancing cost, timescales, and manufacturability. The role also involves visiting client sites to understand their specific needs and deliver bespoke engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver fit-for-purpose design solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Visit client sites to gather requirements and ensure alignment with design specifications.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in AUTO CAD, Inventor, and CATIA V5
  • In-depth knowledge of composite and metallic structures
  • Expertise in designing complex engineering structures, including sheet metal fabrication, machining, and composite design
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide pragmatic, innovative solutions
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of engineers
