Senior Architectural Designer

Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (part office based/part WFH)

We are representing a leading firm in the architectural industry, currently seeking a Senior Architectural Designer or Architect with a strong background in residential developments. This role is ideal for someone passionate about master planning and project management, looking to take their career to the next level.

Day-to-day of the role:

Lead and design a wide range of residential developments/layouts at all scales from 10-500+ homes, from feasibility layouts through to planning applications.

Manage projects and small teams, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.

Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions that align with project goals, local regulations, and client requirements.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure project success.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience (UK based) working on residential housing developments.

Excellent residential layout design & architectural skills for outline and RM applications.

Strong interest in both urban design & architecture.

Good knowledge of the latest legislations, including CDM regulations.

Proficiency in producing associated documents such as Design Access Statements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using AutoCAD; Revit experience is an advantage.

Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously within strict timelines and budgets.

Hand-drawn sketching skills are an advantage, but not essential.
