Our Client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented French-Speaking Credit Controller to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in French and experienced in credit control or accounts receivable, with a passion for managing credit risk and maintaining excellent customer relationships. However they could consider a French speaking customer service professional/administrator, who is looking to develop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Management: Manage and monitor the credit exposure of French-speaking clients to minimise risk and ensure timely collections.
- Debt Collection: Communicate with customers via phone, email, and other platforms to follow up on overdue invoices and ensure prompt payment.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams to facilitate effective account management.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and detailed reports on debtor accounts, outstanding invoices, and collection efforts to senior management.
- Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes related to invoicing, payments, and credit limits.
- Credit Checks: Conduct thorough credit checks on new customers and assess their credit worthiness based on financial data.
- Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement of credit control processes to enhance efficiency and results.
Requirements:
- Fluent in French (spoken and written) - essential for managing French-speaking client accounts.
- Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, desired.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle challenging discussions professionally.
- High attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
