Producing and selling quality specialist dietary food products to the healthcare sector, you will be joining a passionate business who pride themselves on delivering consistently exceptional service to their customers.
The successful National Account Manager will be responsible for developing strategic customer accounts at a regional and national level, creating and managing new business pipeline. Furthermore, you will have responsibility for a number of existing accounts to nurture and grow to their full potential.
Working closely with key departments such as Supply Chain, Finance and Business Support you will find innovative solutions that meet customer’s needs whilst enabling the business to operate in the most profitable and efficient way.
Balancing the daily demands with one eye on the future, you will develop long term business plans with your customers and keep your focus on retaining our national partnerships for years to come.
It’s a demanding but hugely rewarding role, no two days are the same as you have autonomy to manage your own diary. You will be homebased, but you will need to own a full driving license and be comfortable with travelling as you collaborate with your customers and colleagues across the country.
Required skills and experience of a National Account Manager:
- Candidates applying for this role should have previous sales experience preferably within foodservice
- You will be sales focused and will deliver against target, with experience of managing accounts at a national level
- Have a good understanding of margin orientated targets
- You will need to be highly organised with effective time management skills.
- You will be able to demonstrate assured and professional communication, both written and verbal.
- You should be driven and motivated by targets with the personal resilience to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of commercial incentives in the sector and experience of dealing with high level negations.
- Experience of pricing up business & completing tenders
- Accountability - ensuring effective communication at all times with the clients. Handling complaints, finding solutions where and when required, ensuring excellent management of accounts.

The successful National Account Manager will be rewarded with a basic salary upto£47,000, car allowance of £7,100 and an uncapped OTE/bonus, contributory pension, plus many more company benefits.
