Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 pro-rata, dependent on experience

Job Type: Permanent

Contract: Part Time – 3 full days per week (preferably Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

About Us:

WH Bence is a specialist manufacturer of transportable solutions for the Medical, Emergency Services and Hospitality sectors. Bence design and build mobile units for the NHS and Private Healthcare providers such as Breast Screening Clinics, MRI and CT units, mobile Command Centres, Fire Appliances and Incident Welfare Centres for the Emergency Services as well as Hospitality Suites, Race Car Transporters, and bespoke mobile projects for Corporate and Private Clients.

This is a new role in the Bence office due to increasing workload which will support the purchase ledger function of the business.

WH Bence is a small to medium sized family run business, friendly but busy. As part of a small team, you will share general office and reception duties and you will be expected to take a flexible approach to ensure a smooth running of the office.

Accounts Assistant – Purchase Ledger – Key Responsibilities:

- Typing up and matching purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices

- Inputting invoices onto Sage 200

- Addressing invoicing and supplier queries

- Reconciling supplier statements

- Monitoring payments becoming due and assisting with payment runs

- Maintaining supplier payments through the cash book and Sage 200, including allocations

- Assisting with month end processes (e.g., work in progress)

Accounts Assistant – Purchase Ledger - Skills Required:

- Previous accounts experience (preferably with a background in purchase ledger)

- Competent in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and in particular Excel

- Accurate numeracy and typing skills

- Organised attitude and the ability to prioritise workload and manage conflicting priorities

- Excellent communication skills

- Proactive and resourceful

- Ability to problem solve to a deadline

- Positive outlook to work and happy to be flexible

- Experience of Sage 200 and an AAT qualification would be advantageous but not essential
