Part-Time Bookkeeper
Location: Central Bristol
Salary: £29k FTE
We are currently working with a well-established property business based in the heart of Bristol with decades of experience in the industry.
They are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their growing property management team on a part-time (24 hours per week) and permanent basis.
Initially, you will be fully office based in our client's central Bristol office, but hybrid working will be discussed once you are fully trained on the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording daily transactions.
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Reconcile client bank statements and produce monthly financial reports.
- Prepare VAT statements accurately and on time.
- Support in the creation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Effectively utilise accounting software.
- Credit control and confidently manage financial discussions over the phone, when necessary.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and solid knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Resilient, hardworking, and confident.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in the property industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software.
- AAT studier or professional accounting qualifications.
In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of £29k (FTE) plus benefits.
