As part of their commitment to maintaining high standards, Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and reliable school caretaker to join their team.

The Role:As school caretaker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our school site. You will be responsible for site maintenance, security, and health and safety, contributing to the well-being of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times

  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs

  • Manage and monitor site security, including locking/unlocking the school

  • Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with health and safety standards

  • Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems

  • Carry out regular health and safety checks

  • Assist with setting up for school events and functions

  • Respond to emergencies and urgent maintenance issues

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Practical, reliable, and hard-working

  • Experienced in site maintenance or a similar role

  • Knowledgeable in health and safety procedures

  • Organised and able to manage their workload effectively

  • Approachable and enjoys working as part of a team

  • Willing to take initiative and solve problems

  • Able to provide 2 professional references

  • Having enhanced DBS (willingness to take a new one)

  • Eligible to work in the UK
