Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a PMO Analyst for our client a local government organisation in Bristol.

The successful candidate will provide support to the organisation's Education Capital Programme.

The Education Capital Programme is the vehicle for delivering a suite of capital projects both new builds, extensions and refurbishments with the goal of delivering the right number of school places, mostly related to delivering new Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) places to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.

This role is initially a 6 month contract with the possibility to extend. This role is hybrid working with 1 day per week required in the office.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Prepare board pack and monthly highlight reports and support board administration with minutes and action tracking, including coordinating agenda items and papers.
  • Supporting all project managers in the programme to get their sharpoint and document storage in place and aligned to standard folders/practices.
  • Support PMs to build up their PM3 content - (PM3 is our project management tool that stores the milestone plan, status report, RAID etc) to ensure standards are met.
  • Work with PMs to ensure audit trails to date of all projects are clearly documented.
  • Arrange and manage meetings pulse for the programme including wider team meetings, and other regular/recurring meetings.
  • Prepare consolidated highlight reports to support the Programme manager and flag issues/risks /updates for them to focus on.
  • Help PMs navigate internal decision pathways to get things done - help them plan and schedule for key boards and approvals to meet required deadlines.
  • Prepare process notes for managing the programme for any future handover to internal officer.
  • Support the programme manager to updating and maintaining key programme controls (e.g. plan, RAID log, budget management).
  • Run financial reports and support the monthly financial cycle to ensure financial forecasts are submitted on time, and any associated admin with financial codes are progressed.
  • Monitor key programme milestones, actions, decisions, risks, issues and expenditures and create relevant reports for the project manager and Board.
  • Maintain documentation and appropriate storage of data /documents. Maintain all SharePoint sites.
  • Implement changes to in line with our Corporate Programme Office as and when needed.

Personal Requirements:

  • Experience of Education service and Education Capital delivery OR construction projects (Desirable).
  • Experience of working on complex programmes and in multi-disciplinary teams alongside PMs, and working in multidisciplinary team with varying stakeholders incl. suppliers.
  • Experience of supporting boards.
  • Experience of working in organisations requiring strong audit trails.
  • Proven work experience as Senior programme Support Officer.
  • A track record of supporting programmes to bring order and stability, and has excellent organisation skills.

Working Hours: 37hrs / 9:00am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday

Pay: £445.00 per day
