I'm currently working with a leading organisation in the financial services sector, who are on the lookout for a Senior Business Analyst to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of their business processes, driving innovation and delivering exceptional value to both customers and internal stakeholders.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with delivery stream stakeholders to create and manage business requirements, translating them into actionable plans. Your role will involve understanding the business's operating context, supporting the development of business strategies, and ensuring alignment with broader delivery stream objectives and key results.

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for the business.
  • Work with IT and business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse system and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and validate solutions with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
  • Support the development of test plans and test cases, and participate in testing activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Analyse and evaluate business processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of conduct and risk management within a financial services environment.

What you'll need:

  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within a financial services regulated environment.
  • Good technical understanding and experience with IT systems, software development life cycle, and infrastructure within financial services.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements from the FCA and familiarity with compliance and risk management.
  • Proven ability to work with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
